Utah
Farmington, UT Just outside of Salt Lake City is Lagoon Park. It has both land and water rides as well as a pioneer village attraction. The park is open through the end of October and opening times vary depending on the day. Youth passes are $51.95+. Kaysville, UT Utah may be famous for being a ski destination in the winter, but in the summer you can find some great amusement parks there, too! One fun place to check out is Boondocks Food & Fun. It’s an indoor-outdoor park with mini-golf, go-karts, bumper boats and more. It’s open most days from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm, but on Fridays and Saturdays, it stays open until midnight.
Vermont
Putney, VT Don’t let its name fool you, this park isn’t only open during Christmas time. Santa Land USA is open from July until Christmas Eve (10:00-4:00 pm). It’s been open since 1957 and is a fun place to bring your whole family. Not only can you visit with elves and Santa, but you can ride on rides, too.It’s a place like no other. Jay, VT Since Vermont doesn’t have any huge roller coaster amusement parks, checking out a water park is the next best thing. Pump House Indoor Waterpark is great because you can still be adventurous thanks to its waterslides. However, if you want to go on a more relaxing ride, there’s a lazy river, too. The park is open from July through October.
Virginia
Virginia Beach, VA With 16 rides, midway games, food and a go-kart track, Atlantic Fun Park is somewhere worth venturing to. One of the best parts is it’s open until midnight every day of the week so you don’t have to feel rushed going from ride to ride. Fredericksburg, VA If you’re dying to go somewhere other than a waterpark in Virginia, you should check out Fun Land of Fredericksburg. It’s located in the northern part of the state and has mini-rides, go-karts, wall climbing and more. The park is open from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm every night except for Sunday.
Washington
Federal Way, WA If you’re looking for a park that has both water rides and land rides, Wild Waves Theme and Water Park if for you.It’s open all summer and even has a holiday lights event in December. Tip: You can get the best ticket deals if you buy them online three days in advance. Carnation, WA Remlinger Farms is not your typical farm, so don’t pass on this fun place. It’s a farm that has rides and lets you pick things like strawberries and raspberries when they’re in season, too. It’s open from 10:30 am until 4:30 pm and ticket prices depend on your age. So if you like places that are unique, this attraction is something you’ll be glad you found.
West Virginia
Huntington, WV Camden Park sits on 26 acres and is the only amusement park that has carnival-type rides in West Virginia. Today, it has more than 30 rides and attractions, like the Big Dipper and a full-size wooden roller coaster. It’s closed Monday to Wednesday, but opens at 11:00 am the rest of the week. You can get season passes for $59.99. Inwood, WV JayDee’s Family Fun Center will keep you and your kids entertained all day. It’s a place you can go to over and over again and never be bored thanks to its water park, go-karts, arcade and mini-golf course. It’s open Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and until 6:00 pm on Fridays.
Wisconsin
Green Bay, WI What will you see if you go to the Bay Beach Amusement Park? A big wheel, bumper cars, giant slide, merry-go-round, scrambler, tilt-a-whirl, zippin pippin roller coaster and more! This park is new and each ride ticket costs .25 to ride and there is no admission fee. Wisconsin Dells, WI Prepare to have the time of your life at Mt. Olympus Parks. The outdoor park has loads of attractions, including roller coasters, balloon rides, swing rides and more!It’s open from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and you can make reservations online to ensure the park doesn’t reach its capacity.
Wyoming
Jackson, WY If you want to experience a truly unique roller coaster, head to Snow King Mountain Resort. There, you can go on Cowboy Coaster, which is a 465-foot roller coaster that has nearly a mile of twists and turns! Plus, when you’re on top before you drop, you can see views of Teton. Prices range. Thermopolis, WY While Wyoming isn’t known for your typical amusement parks it does have other spots, like Star Plunge, that you can go to have fun. It’s open Saturday to Sunday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and has pools, a vapor cave and waterslides. It’s more-so a place that adults will enjoy and tickets range from $7 to $15.50.
